One of you suggested this would be fun information. Don't get to serious as there are many varibles. For instance my Snoozy and Ford Expedition V8 gets about 15 to 17 MPH on flat ground at 65 MPH. On a recent 5500 miles trip to the west which included mountains. The computer read 13.5. I was getting about 14-15 with the Ranger 4.0 V6.

Our real world towing MPG with a 2012 Toyota Highlander 3.5 V6 driving between 50-70 MPH, averages between 15-17 MPG plus or minus 1 MPG, depending on the terrain.

Naturally our best MPG is when we're not in a hurry and on two lane state highways that can driven between 45-60 MPH and enjoy the country side as it should be seen.

;)

IMaybe my last reply is in someones email in Washington , here it goes again:  What I do to get such good milage is every 50 miles stop and blow into the gas tank to force the light fuel (unleaded) to the bottom for better consumption.  Works every time , keep me informed for how it works for you.  However, 4WD probably has more to do with milage tham lung pressure.   Would love to get together, looking for any reason to make new friends!  Will be passsing close to you on the 12th to meet Franklin Graham on the  State Capital steps . Contact me directly (386)589-7755 any time.  Jim

We got 15.4 mpg going 65 mph on one tank of gas on I-95 in North Carolina and Virginia. That is a relatively flat stretch of road with gentle hills and descents. Vehicle is 4WD Toyota 4Runner with 4.0 liter gas V6; regular mpg averages 18.3 combined city and highway.

2016 F-150 2.7L ecoboost I would get about 18 to 20 MPG without a LS.  With the LS it varied from 13 to 17.5 MPG.  The low end was caused by being in 90+ degrees weather, stopping at a rest area or place to grab food to go, idling at the edge of the parking lot with the dogs in the A/C.  Some states don't allow idling, but that is clearly marked with signs.  I would say the mpg drop normally would be about 1 to 4 mpg and this is with Tow/Haul mode enabled.  Not sure on hilly terrain though, it was mostly flat.

Another run. This one is two tanks of gas mostly along I-66 and I-81 in Virginia with a little bit of windy mountain roads to the campsite. Going about 68 mph got 14.75 mpg.

TV is 4WD Toyota 4Runner 4.0 liter V6.
