About Me

Paula & I are both RN's, and are currently members of fiberglassrv.com , and owned a 13' Scamp.  We are just a couple of months from retiring, enabling us to start traveling for extended periods.  The Lil Snoozy appears to be our next trailer.  We saw Hershell's  in Quartzsite Az..

We picked up #120 Lil Snoozy May 27th 2014.

We retired October 1st.

Good morning Dave & Paula & congratulations on your Snoozy and RETIREMENT! We're anxiously awaiting that ourselves...10-23 months to go! Hope you're enjoying everything about your new lifestyle! We've very recently bought a Snoozy from a lovely family & will take ownership in a few months. You've done some AWESOME things with your Snooze... Would you mind sharing the details of the two burner cook top you've installed? I'd sure appreciate that as I will be needing that! Thank you!

Hello, my husband and I our trying to finalize our wish lift for our Lil Snoozy. We have read several things written on this site by other owners and have several questions. You seem to be very knowledgeable about the Snoozys so if you don't mind we would love to talk to you before placing our order. Would you mind calling us or deal with it through emails? Our phone number is 308-379-3005 and my email address is croliver@charter.net. My name is Chris and husbands name is Mike. Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you.

We are also nearing retirement and will be new to camping. We are seriously thinking of buying a little snoozy but would like to see one. Do you own one and will you be at the rally in Colorado the end of this month? Thank you

Rick, I placed a wedge of wood under the couch mounting brackets to give the seat a slight backward rake, and large bolster throw pillows against the back to take-up some of the depth of the seat. These mods have made the couch more comfortable, and in addition, we have a couple of nesting foot stools to make it more like a recliner. Thank you for your invitation to stop and meet you two, and perhaps one day we will make it to Florida again. We also have 2 acres right next door to "Lost Dutchman State Park" in Arizona, and we would like you two as our guests if you ever come out this way fall through spring.

Happy your SUV is about done. We were at the factory two weeks ago. Had a few things done. Had car problems on the way home. Had to replace the computer. But I love my car. We might be looking next year for a truck or larger SUV. Something we dont have to worry about pulling our snoozy through the mountains. I did find a glass company here that can order me a mirror. That is net on my mods to do. Rick wants to get rid of the sofa, havnt desided to do what Charlie did or a 6 inch cushion. On the area of the sofa. Richard Mickle had his that way, and it was very nice. Have a safe trip. And your always welcome here
Were live on 2acre 30 miles south of Jacksonville Florida.

Thank you for the information on the gathering near Durango - sounds like a great opportunity to maybe get a peak at a few. And probably hear some good stories about where they have been!

Thank you, that helps. I was reading on fiberglass rv, that you said you put a mirror on the bathroom door, did you put it on the stationary door, or tbe one that opens and closes? I am planning on putting one their for Rick who is 6'4. Have you had any problems with it, and what king of glue did you use to put it up with. Sorry to hear about your jeep, we had to rebuild our transmission last fall. We will be planning our snoose trip next month, maybe we will see you their

Thank you, was the reflex coming loose too? How heavy was the headliner material? I know something has to go their. The day we pick up ours in November, it was in the middle 80s, and it was hot over the bed. I like your idea of the weg for the sofa. We will have to try that. Do you plan on coming east any this year?

How many yards of the head liner did you use for your snoozy. Rick wrist is almost healed so we can get back to insulating our snoozy. As you talked about, getting our queen size memory mattress is going to take a lot of arm power. I want to get it done before we use it this summer. We have to go back to the factory for a small repair with the thedford, then the mattress is coming out, air mattress is going in till it is done. I am going to look at the ones you talked about. Were even talking about taking the sofa out, but first I am taking it to a upholstery shop to have the back firm up and see if that works. If Rick is not happy with it I am sure he will be looking at Charlie at Cherokee and his dinnett.

Beautiful Snoozy! Love the work you have done on it. My wife and I were fortunate to visit the company when they first started. Great group of workers there!

I insisted on a memory mattress, which Richard was able to get the factory that makes the mattresses to make one, he has since included it on the option list. Great mattresses, sleeps wonderfully, but is heavy, a royal pain in the neck to make, we have already desided it is coming out and buying a lighter mattress that I can handle. So when we pull it out to do the bed area, it will not be going back in. In the mean time we our sleeping on top of the bedding that is easier to take out and wash. I had Richard add a full extra cabinet at the end of the countertop, which adds lots of e tra storage.Love my cabinets, snoozy did a great job,and added a 12"shelf over the entertainment area, also over the sofa. Thanks for the avise

How long did it take for you to do the bed area? As soon as Rick wrist heals andwe can get the mattress out, we are planning on doing it. Love the glue. How many yards of the head liner did you use? I am ording it next week. We want to get it done before the summer heat is here to stay.

I want to say thank you for telling me about the 3m glue. It works wonderfull glueing down the reflex on the storage floor. How did it do when you put it up around around the bed. Did you have to hold it up. We are going to our first ralley in two weeks, Green Eggs &Ham. It will be our first time camping in the snoozy. Probably bring to much or not enough. Looking forward to it.
Thank you again
